Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Teen Book of the Week

Grace has always felt a connection to the wolves in the woods behind her house, especially to the one with the lonesome howl and beautiful yellow eyes.

When a local teen is killed by the pack, and hunters enter the woods to destroy them, their secret is revealed. They are wolves in winter, but with spring's warmth the youngest take human form.

When Grace meets Sam in human form at last, they know that they are meant to be together. But this is Sam's last summer to change.

Reserve Shiver and the sequel, Linger.
